NEC has recently introduced the fastest super computer named NEC SX-9. After the show casing of NEC SX-9, even the leading computer manufacturers are so much surprised by NEC SX-9 that it is claimed as the fastest super computer that is made till now. NEC is a Multinational Company, NEC’s actual name was Nippon Electric Company, Limited. Though Super computers are not used as normal computers they are used for advanced research activities and situations involving tremendous calculation speed solutions in seconds. So super computers are not considered as normal customer products they are mostly used in government services like Advanced research, Space science, Virtual simulations, meteorological, geographical calculations, etc. Teraflop is a unit that stands for trillion calculations per second. NEC claims that NEC SX-9 Supercomputer can provide speeds up to 839 teraflops which implies that NEC SX-9 will be the fastest supercomputer ever made. NEC SX-9 has a predecessor model named NEC SX-8 but the current version is approx. 13 times faster than the old version and NEC SX-9 is more energy efficient than any other supercomputer. With such high speed and astounding performance of this supercomputer it offers an additional advantage that it is very compact in size. It more or less resembles an instant passport photo booth for its size and it rents around 26,000$ for a month.
