Kodak is all set to release the Zi8 – a pocket HD video camera. It is a major improvement over its predecessor – the Zi6 with a whole range of new features. It is highly portable and has a video recording capability at 1080p with image stabilization and compatibility with SDHC cards. It has an external jack for recording audio at a better quality and capability to shoot still images with up to 5 mega pixels with face recognition. It works incredibly well under low light conditions. It can store up to 10 hours of HD video recording on a 32GB SDHC memory card at 30fps. It also has a 2.5 inch color display and runs on a lithium ion battery. It also comes along with a remote control and a tripod allowing hands free operation. The best thing about the Kodak Zi8 is that it is pocket sized and can be carried along where ever you go. What makes the Kodak Zi8 stand out is the high clarity of videos and vivid color details in almost any lighting condition. It is available in three colors – aqua, black and raspberry. The Kodak Zi8 is priced at $180 and will be available in stores from September.
